   Iambik Audiobooks Launches Crime Collection

   iambik - the indie audiobook upstart from some of the people behind LibriVox - launches a new collection of 10 crime & mystery audiobooks, with books from Akashic Books, Hard Case Crime, Tyrus Books, Soho Press and Minotaur. The collection includes noir craftsman Seymour Shubin, whom Tony Hillerman calls, “a master of prose, one of the very best,” and a translation of the first novel from famed Japanese mystery writer Akimitsu Takagi. Books are priced at $6.99, or a collection of 10 for $44.99.

   Iambik Audio Launches New Audiobook Company and Community

   Iambik Audio, a new kind of audiobook company, launches today with 11 works of literary fiction from independent presses in the US and Canada. Launch books include "Collected Fictions" by Gordon Lish (OR Books) and Lydia Millet's "Oh Pure and Radiant Heart." Iambik strives to connect listeners, authors, publishers, and audiobook narrators, to find new audiences for great books. Iambik was started by Hugh McGuire, founder of LibriVox, the free public domain audiobook community.
